Pilar del Toro
A gastronomic experience inspired by the regional Andalusian cuisine, where the oxtail and the grated cod stand out along with an exquisite professional attention. Located in a sixteenth century manor palace, next to Plaza Nueva, it has private spaces for events, with capacity for between 12 and 150 people.
The restaurant has been conceived in the interior of an old 17th century manor house whose name comes from its location, as it is located right at the foot of the Alhambra behind “El Pilar”.
Pilar del Toro is surrounded by history. Its current configuration is the product of successive transformations initiated with the widening of the bridge Alhachimín or of the Bath of the Crown, built in the Zirid period during the XI century, which communicated the square of the Hatabín or San Gil, at the end of Elvira street, with the neighborhoods of the left bank of Darro, giving access to the Alhambra by the hill of Cuchilleros.
